Guidelines and Activities for Individuals and Families
The purpose of the website is to provide quick links and access to the tools and resources the Church and Hagerman Ward have available to help each of us become temporally prepared.
You don't have to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to use these resources. They are available to all. All are welcome.
God has promised, "If ye are prepared ye shall not fear" (Doctrine and Covenants 38:30). When we have plans in place, we are more prepared for challenges. This includes:
Emergency planning
Home storage and production
Financial preparedness
Emotional preparedness
Like spiritual learning, preparedness is best done “line upon line” (Isaiah 28:10). And when challenges occur, we can learn from them, heal and grow, and continue to prepare.
Each quarter the Hagerman Ward will focus on an area of preparedness as outlined in the North America Central -- Local Emergency Preparedness Guide.
We invite you to prayerfully study church resources as a family and create your emergency plan.
We invite you to prayerfully study and begin your short term food and water storage or begin expanding long term storage.
We invite you to prayerfully study how your family can be financially prepared for unexpected challenges.
We invite you to prayerfully study as a family and determine how you can be emotionally prepared for unexpected emergency situations.
The Hagerman Ward Temporal Preparedness website is administered by the Hagerman Ward Temporal Preparedness Chairperson, Relief Society President, and Elders Quorum President under direction of the Bishop.
